Award-winning filmmaker, lighting cameraman & architectural photographer based in Dublin, Ireland.
The study of architecture (UCD) instilled in me a conceptual and creative rigour that permeates through my work. When combined with the study of cinematography (BCFE) and photography (NCAD), I have developed an individual visual sense and education with particular attention to detail, framing, lighting, layout and design.
As a film maker my documentary shorts have played in festivals from Moscow to Melbourne. Bloody Good Headline, funded by the Irish Film Board, won the IFI Stranger Than Fiction Jury Award for best documentary short film.
As a lighting cameraman I have extensive professional broadcast TV, commercials and documentary experience shooting for BBC, RTE, TG4, ITV, UTV and independent production companies over the last 10 years. I have my own camera, lighting, sound and editing equipment.
As an architectural photographer my work has been published in books, journals, magazines and newspapers as well as Photo Ireland & Open House exhibitions.
As an architect I hold honours degrees (BSc Arch Sc & BArch), hold Irish Professional Practice qualification and am a full member or the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (MRIAI). Previously, I worked for de Blacam & Meagher Architects on the multi award winning design of Cork Institute of Technology. I have also studied furniture design at Aarhus Arkitektskole, Denmark.
